Kimberton Fair & Milky Way Creamery

Jason decided we should take Jaxin to a fair near where he works. His mom used to take him there when he was younger. So, we invited her to come along and the four of us had a fun day. Jaxin had a blast going on all the rides and truly enjoyed playing the games. He didn't even care about the prizes too much, but was rather amuzed just playing. He won a blown up plastic hammer at one stand and decided he wanted to pulverize the floating rubber duckies. Meanwhile, splashing water everywhere! He loved the rides as well. Jason rode with him on everything. Jaxin wanted to ride the big roller coaster and many other rides but he wasn't tall enough. He was pretty upset that he couldn't ride the bumper cars too. His second time going through the funhouse, he fell and hit his knee, and then fell again and cried hysterically for a few minutes. Poor little guy. He was probably too young to go through it anyway with all the floors moving. I believe he's going to be a daredevil and love roller coasters when he grows up. Just like mommy & daddy. After the fair, we went to a local creamery and had ice cream. It was very yummy! I want to take him back there sometime because there's a small farm where he can pet the animals. I'm glad we got to spend a fun day with Jaxin!

Walking With Dinosaurs 07.17.10

We all thoroughly enjoyed the performance. It was both educational and entertaining. LOVED IT!

Mommy, is there something on my face?

New Booster Seat! Oobr Clek

Jaxin was starting to outgrow his convertible car seat and now meets the requirements for a booster seat. I looked around a lot in stores and online for what type I wanted. I found this one on the Babies R Us website and instantly fell in love with the design....until I saw the price tag. It's probably 4-5 times the amount that I had planned on spending. But after reading reviews and more info on the product, I decided I definitely wanted it because it has tons of safety features that normal booster seats don't offer. I love that it has the Latch system. Most boosters don't lock into the anchors in your car, but this one does. There are many other safety features, but that's the one that impressed me the most. Jason is getting the same seat only in a different design. I love these seats!!!

Nana's Birthday

Jaxin made one of his famous cakes for Nana's birthday and had tons of fun doing it. We hope you had a nice birthday, Nana. Jaxin loves you soooooo much!

My Gym Fun Days Week #5,6 & 7

Jaxin has went to three more weeks of My Gym Fun Days. There's not much to really blog about them, so I just decided to combine these three. The 5th week's theme was Dinosaurs. He made the absolute cutest craft that week of a dinosaur made from contact paper and tissue paper. I hung it from my rear-view mirror because I loved it so much. Week #6's theme was Garden and he traced an outline of both of his hands together and colored it. It was supposed to be a butterfly. Week #7 was All Around the World. He made a noisemaker from a toilet paper roll with beans on the inside of it. Not sure how it pertained to that week's theme, but he was very proud to show it to me. I love that he has so much fun each week that he goes. It's great for him to get to be independent and interact with other kids.

My Gym Fun Days Week #4- Wild Wild West

This weeks theme was Wild Wild West. As you can see, his craft was a cactus with tissue paper tumbleweeds. He even remembered what they were called when showing me his artwork. He wore a Toy Story 3 shirt today that had Woody the cowboy on it. They had goldfish again for a snack and Jaxin had water-he still won't drink the juice (which is fine w/ me). He told us about an incident where a girl had pushed him near the swings and he fell down and it hurt. He then said that later while they were at the ball pit, that he hit her on her back. Whether any of this is true, we have no idea. The teachers didn't see it if it happened and didn't mention anything to Jason when he picked up Jaxin that day. Either way, we still told him that it wasn't nice to hit people...especially girls. :) We told him that when she pushed him, that he should have told her it wasn't nice to push.

4th of July

We spent our 4th at Aunt Mimi's house where Uncle Mike grilled for everyone. We had a water balloon fight for Jaxin and he also got to play wiffle ball for a short while. It was just too hot out to chase the ball around. Jaxin was excited to eat brownies and by the time we left, he passed out on the ride home. Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th!

Good Neighbor Day - Kerr Park

We went to a local event for the 4th where Jaxin could go on rides and play games. I thought there was going to be more for him to do than there actually was and I myself was a bit disappointed in the lack of rides available. He had fun though and that's all that matters. He hadn't taken a nap that day-not that I hadn't tried to get him to take one-so he was pretty tired when we got home. The same park that has the carnival, also has a fireworks display at night. Unfortunately we weren't able to go back to watch the fireworks since Jaxin was so exhausted. Oh well. There's always next year!

My Gym Fun Days Week #3 - Patriotic

For Jaxin's Patriotic week @ My Gym, he naturally wore red, white & blue. He had a shirt on w/ a monster truck on it that had a stars & stripes design. Underneath it read, "Red, White & Vrrrroooomm". He got to decorate construction paper w/ glue and sprinkled glitter all over it to make a picture of fireworks. On another paper, he placed patriotic foam star stickers all over. He said they played with hula hoops this time and showed us how to move his hips. Nana wanted to find him a hula hoop for him to have at her house and she did find a smaller sized one just for kids! :) I'll have to post a pic of him w/ it sometime soon.

My Gym Fun Day Week #2 - Seashore

I forgot to post about this sooner....Jaxin had his second "fun day" at My Gym and the theme was Seashore. I've been dressing him each week in something relating to the theme. The first week was "All About Me", and he had on a shirt that had a monster on it and underneath it, it said, "SILLY". This week, I put him in a shirt that had a shark on it. He made friends with a boy, but couldn't remember his name. He had teddy grahms for his snack. For his craft, he colored a paper hat that had fish on it. It's hard to go into much detail about what he does in these classes since we aren't actually there. I get a few specifics from him but for the most part it's all about fitness, fun & play.
