First Day of Preschool!

Jaxin's first day at preschool went very well. He was so excited to go! Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Aunt Mi-mi & Uncle Mike went to watch him depart for the big event. Jason and I took him into his classroom and helped him hang up his backpack. He got to take a favorite stuffed animal the first day to share with the rest of his class. He took his dinosaur and his teacher said she loved it. The kids got to share their animals with each other and they all got to know one another better. They painted little bears with sponges on contruction paper and the teacher asked Jaxin what his were doing. Playing with cars and blocks at school, of course! Jaxin said they had teddy grahm bears for a snack. He is definitely looking forward to going back! Awwww, our little guy is growing up so fast!

Labor Day Cookout

We went to a cookout on Sunday at Nana & Pop Pop's house. Frank's kids/grandkids showed up too and Jaxin got to play with Nicky & Kristen a lot. Nicky has always been really good with Jaxin ever since they first met. Jaxin really enjoys playing with him and gets a kick out of him too. The weather was beautiful and we all enjoyed spending some time in the sun without sweating! I made a cake and cupcakes to take too which I think turned out well and were really cute.

Wildlife on the River

Jason heard of a place from co-workers to take Jaxin to. It was a wildlife refuge center along the Schuylkill River. There were goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, geese, turkeys, deer, a fox, many species of owls, hawks, two bald eagles (one was really fat!), and many other types of birds. It was free and you just walked around the grounds to look at all the animals. The Schuylkill River is behind the center and we walked down there to check things out. Jaxin liked watching the boats go by. We saw people tubing and jet-skiing. Looked like fun! Jaxin was even brave enough to walk in the water barefoot. We may have to go back sometime when it isn't as hot. It was scorching that day and we were all sweaty by the time we got back to the car.
