Just a Spoonful of Sugar Helps the Medicine Go Down

Two nights ago Jaxin was feeling miserable. All he wanted to do was sleep. He fell asleep at 5:30 p.m. and slept until the next morning when we had to get up for work and take him to Nana's. He woke up every so often and would cry and wimper and just want to be cuddled. He had a fever and a runny nose. Yesterday, after picking up Jaxin, Jason stopped at McD's to get food and a milkshake...he decided to let Jaxin have a few sips to cool him off (and to make him happy). This picture absolutely cracks me up! But you can tell he's sick by looking at his eyes. He felt better today and his fever was gone. Still a snotface though and isn't eating as much as normal. Let's hope he's all better by the next week when Aunt Michelle & Piper visit!

Naked Guitar Lessons Anyone?

We were on our way to the bath tub when Jaxin decided to pull out his guitar and start a jam session. It was quite cute seeing him sitting on the floor butt naked strumming the guitar and "singing". Silly boy. Then after our bath, I captured him making funny faces in the mirror.

Future Stunt Double?

He created this game all by himself. He's such a lil daredevil sometimes. He would have continued to do this all night long had we let him. But we were afraid he was going to hit his head on the wall--he has enough bruises/scratches/infections/ect. on his face as it is...poor lil guy. He had fun while his stunt lasted though.

Happy Father's Day

My boys

He hated wearing this tie and wouldn't keep it on...but I snapped a quick pic while he was watching SpongeBob-he still had a grumpy look though.

I'm no Cake Boss, but it sure tasted delicious!
I had made cupcakes w/ leftover batter & icing.

Big Top Sandbox

We finally got his sandbox put together and filled with 360 lbs of sand! The instructions said it held "up to" 200 lbs, but that filled it about half way. He had lots of fun playing in it afterwards and absolutely loves it! I just wish we hadn't gotten so much rain since Jaxin's birthday so he could have enjoyed it sooner.

Sleeping Arrangements

Jaxin requested to sleep in his own bed last night. It took quite a while before he fell asleep. In fact, I ended up rocking him to sleep in the glider and then laid him back in his bed. He was tired before that, but just kept playing. I checked in on him before I went to sleep an hour later, and then again when I woke up in the morning. He was fine and slept there on his own the entire night! I couldn't believe it. He woke up at 8 a.m. and called out for Mommy & Daddy. I'm so proud of him. Tonight he is having another sleep-over at Aunt Mimi's, so hopefully Monday night he will sleep in his bed again. *Fingers crossed*

It's a bird...it's a plane...NO it's....

PANCAKES!!! In the shapes of airplanes and trucks that is. I found these really cool molds the other day. I'm always making pancakes into different shapes for Jason for holidays, so I thought it would be fun to have these for Jaxin. He loooooves pancakes. When he saw these, he flipped out and was squealing with delight. He loved them.

Sneak Peek

I've been working on a project with Jaxin for the last few weeks. We've actually only worked on it 3 different times, but we finally finished it tonight. I'm not going to disclose any information as to who it's for or why, but I wanted to show some pictures I've taken. They are just too cute that I couldn't wait to post them. I'll post pictures of the finished product later after we've given it away.

These hands are a work of art!

Colorful tiny toes
He loves painting with that wire wisk!

I think he was trying to be a punk rocker.

Look at that mischievious grin! Up to no good as usual. :)

Bunny Friend

Here's the bunny that lives in our back yard. I'm pretty sure it's the same one from last summer that used stop and nibble on grass merely feet from our back door. It was just a tiny bunny then, but now it's all grown up. It lives under our neighbors shed. Jaxin always goes berserk whenever he sees it. He loves bunnies.

What's Hatchin'?

I think Jaxin got this egg from Pop-Pop. It was in a package and said to submerge it in water and within 24-48 hrs something would hatch. It could have been a number of creatures. An alligator, salamander, turtle, snake, or lizard, to name a few. His ended up being a King Cobra.
Jason and I both would like to get a snake once Jaxin is older. Jason used to have a red-tailed boa named Janice. I've always wanted an albino python, and I think corn snakes underbellies have interesting patterns. We haven't talked much about it, but I'm sure some day we'll own one.

Uncle Brian & Aunt Tabetha

Brian & Tabetha were delivering and picking up loads in Pennsylvania over the weekend. We arranged it so that Sunday I could pick them up and bring them back to our house to spend time together (they were about an hour away from where we live). Jaxin had so much fun with them. He showed off and was such a lil ham. I think he may have worn them out too. Haha. We played at the house some, went out for an early dinner at Panera Bread, played at two parks, and then got icecream from Maggie Moos. It was really nice to get to see them and I was sad to say goodbye. I laughed so much yesterday....Thanks guys! :) Can't wait to see everyone in August!!!
