I'm Makin' A Pizza

This may have been Jaxin's favorite part of visiting in Indiana this time (other than seeing family). He absolutely adores his Uncle Brian and talks about him frequently. He's already been asking me when we can go see him again and make another pizza. :)

Christmas in Indiana

I am beyond thankful and grateful that I was able to spend Christmas with my family this year. Jaxin definitely remembered everyone. This was the first time that Jaxin & Piper were able to spend the holidays together. It was a lot of fun watching Piper open her presents. Jaxin & Piper got along pretty well this time around. She didn't hit him at all this time but was a little bossy (which was kinda funny). Jaxin had a bit too much fun scaring her with a baby dinosaur that she had gotten for Christmas. She was afraid of it and he kept chasing her around the apartment with it and ended up making her cry. They seemed to have fun playing together for the most part though. He also loved having my sister read to him at night. He won't let me do it much anymore, but absolutely loves it when she reads to him. It was cute to see both Piper & Jaxin sitting on Michelle's lap intently looking at a book together. :)

Jaxin had a ton of fun with Uncle Brian and Aunt Tabetha too! He loved sitting in Uncle Brian's lap helping him play games on the computer. Do I sense a future gamer? I love the way he says "Aunt Tabetha"....it cracks me up every time. He really enjoyed playing with the cats too. Pumpkin was his favorite, but I think Mirabel was a close second! I think his favorite thing about staying at their house was making pizza with them!

Even my Dad's dog, Jasmine, enjoyed the attention from Jaxin. She barked at him a couple of times, but never growled. She was jealous because he was sitting on Grandpa's lap. She wagged her tail a lot whenever Jaxin would pet her though. Jaxin had a lot of good laughs with Grandpa!

Thanks to everyone for making this Christmas extra special! :) We love and miss you all!

Christmas Day 2009

We all had a very wonderful Christmas this year! Jaxin was at that perfect age where he understood who Santa was and that if you were good you got presents. Thanks to Dora the Explorer, he also knew that if you were bad that you ended up on the naughty list like Swiper. Jaxin had lots of Christmas spirit this year. He had a blast helping put candy canes on the tree, enjoyed helping me pick out presents for a few people, learned to sing Frosty the Snowman (well part of it anyway), watched Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer for the first time, and was excited to leave milk and cookies for Santa! He received more presents than we knew what to do with! His favorite toy from Mommy & Daddy was his trampoline I think.

Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow

It started snowing early Saturday morning and didn't stop until very late that night. I have no idea how many inches we technically got, because there was a lot of wind which created drifts in some areas. But I'd say we got a foot and a half at least. We were snowed in pretty much on Saturday and had to dig our way out today. Jason went out this morning to shovel the sidewalk and made a path to his car. Our court had not been plowed yet so it was pretty bad. The roads were decent though. He went out to get us some breakfast and then I went out later to dig my car out. I ended up going to get gas and some groceries. After Jaxin had taken his nap, I bundled him up and took him out to play in the snow. The first snowfall we had, he had bronchitis and wasn't able to go play. He was super excited and had a ton of fun. He threw a lot of snowballs at me and even made a snow angel. We only stayed out for about ten minutes because we were getting cold and his nose started running. I had to practically drag him inside. He was so upset that we had to go in. I promised him Daddy would take him back out tomorrow while I'm at work. He told me he wants to build a snowman when Grandpa comes to visit. (Jason's Dad is driving in on Tuesday for the holiday.) He told me all about how he has to give it eyes, a nose, a mouth, arms & a hat & scarf. :)

Breakfast With Santa

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Every year Santa rides through each court on a fire truck w/the lights & sirens on. Jaxin loves looking out the window and waving at him. He really enjoys seeing the fire truck too!

Naughty or Nice?

We took Jaxin last Saturday on a carriage ride w/ Santa Claus. It was something the community was doing for the kids and it was free! We did leave a tip though. Jaxin sat beside Santa the whole time (it was only a 2 minute ride) and told him what he wanted for Christmas. He said he wanted a dinosaur, a dumptruck, and lots of toys. Santa asked him if he'd been a good boy and Jaxin said, "Oh yeah!" He told Santa that he'd been going pee pee on the potty a lot. Santa said he would work on getting him a dumptruck as long as he was a good boy. Santa told him goodbye and gave him an activity coloring book. I am so glad that he's not scared of Santa this year. Yay! We're going to take him soon to get pictures taken w/ Santa at the mall. When I ask him if he wants to go see Santa, he replies, "Yeah! I go see Santa and sit on his lap and tell him I want toys!" :)
